Scar-U DL66 Automatic Rifle - Sci-Fi Assault Rifle

Manufactured in 2204, the STAAL INDUSTRIES Combat-ready Scar-U DL66 Automatic Rifle is the weapon of choice for the EUID, European Intergalactic Defense force. STAAL INDUSTRIES works as a specialist branch of operatives, derived from historic weapon manufacturers FN Herstal, designing and producing modern weaponry to defend against the new threats from across the galaxy. The new edition Scar-U DL66 is the most successful production line from STAAL, and has been designed with the purpose of triumphing in mid-range engagements with unrivaled efficiency.

For this Project I designed and produced a game-ready sci-fi rifle, influenced by the weapons and art from Star Citizen. I based my gun from the real life FN-Scar Rifle, manufactured by FN Herstal, from which I adapted the design myself into one that would fit the Star Citizen universe more appropriately.

I also made the main materials of the weapon myself inside of Substance Designer to gain extra experience with the software.
